A Law is an statute that you'd normally think of when you hear the words 'the law'. It's a piece of legislation with authority and a (mostly) permanent standing. It regulates what the law says and the rules around breaking it. Examples of Laws include crime & punishment, regulations, and public bodies, among many other uses. It's the most common and flexible type of legislation, and the one that you'll normally use to write in the National Assembly.
Laws are organised into the Kavenian National Code. This is a collection of statutes that allows Laws to be referenced and archived easily, and it's broken down into 16 chapters (categories) so laws can be found simply:
